Position: Swimming Teacher and Coach

Job Overview: Having first opened its doors in 2015, Anne Hill International currently provides international education for students aged 2-13 and has plans in place to expand its secondary school campus in the near future. As a school, our mission is to provide affordable, high-quality, international education and our vision is to nurture well-rounded, globally minded, lifelong learners. Our school currently has approximately 350 students from 30 different countries and a dedicated and supportive team of 30 teachers, also from diverse backgrounds. The school is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of the school’s swimming programme, managing and maintaining all aspects of the use of the swimming pool.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teacher’s duties as per Anne Hill Standards
- Assist with the day to day running of the Swimming department by completing swim coaching and admin tasks.
- Lead swim coaching sessions.
- Plan a suitable training programme specific for groups
- Run before-school/ after-school training sessions
- Follow up swimmers who fail to attend training
- Liaise with PE dept over lane ropes & pool maintenance
- Organise team lists for swimming galas and interschool competitions
- Maintain a record of swimmers times
- Print personal best and award certificates
- Inform swimmers of important upcoming events via newsletters
- Be Active member of the school community.
- Supporting teachers in preparing and organizing School events.
- Supervision of After-School activities.
- Being a competent swimmer and be able to teach stroke development work in small groups independently.
- Assisting in equipment preparation for lessons.
- Providing escort and assistance to children as necessary.
- Helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records; maintain individual records for each student when required.
- Attending staff meetings or training, helping with outings/sport events, school clubs and other school events
- Understanding and applying school policies.
- Maintaining confidentiality inside and outside the workplace.
- Performing other duties given by PE Coordinator / Vice Principal
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in Physical Education.
- Teacher professional qualification or certification in PE and/Swimming.
- Certification in Life Saving and First Aid.
- Teaching experience in Years 1 – 10;
