School Reopening Delay Notice

Dear Parents & Families,

This notice is to inform you that due to the safety of our students, parents, teachers and staff, Anne Hill International School has decided to delay its school start date to Monday, 17th August 2020. This is an initiative from the School and not a directive handed down by the relevant authorities. For AHI families, you should have received an email with additional details.

We’ve noted that some of our families have been traveling around Vietnam during the summer  break. While there may not be any outbreak in some of the mentioned cities, as you may know, quite a number of COVID-19 patients do not show any symptoms despite being tested positive. For this reason, we want to minimise the risk as much as possible, spend time to prepare the necessary preventive measures and ensure a safe school reopening for all.

Please refer to the updated academic calendar and events at https://annehill.school/key-calendar-date/

We would like to highlight that lessons will resume on 17th August 2020 regardless of the situation. If there are future  lockdowns and schools are required to close physically, our teachers and staff have already prepared alternative arrangements for your child’s learning.

Thank you and we seek your kind understanding as we strive towards a safe school reopening for all.

Class of 2020 – AHI Graduation Day

Finally we bid farewell to academic year 2019-2020!

On 17th July 2020, the school community witnessed the graduation of our Kindergarten students who will now start a new chapter in their learning journeys. We are so proud of all of our graduants, and we believe the parents are too! 2020 has been a roller coaster ride for many, but our students have proven that learning does not stop wherever you are. Whenever there is a will, there is a way.

We hope that both parents and children will feel proud of their achievements over the course of their studies at AHI.
Congratulations Class of 2020! You made it despite all the challenges and obstacles thrown at you this year.

A gentle reminder that our last day of school is Friday, 24th July 2020. Anne Hill International School will start its AY 2020-2021 on Monday, August 10th 2020.

Children’s Day 2020 – A Tribute To Our Frontline Workers During The Pandemic

This year, Children’s Day is a day for our students to thank all our frontline workers who have been working hard to keep us safe during the pandemic. From doctors, nurses, pilots, police officers to fire fighters, we hope to plant a seed of gratitude as the whole world navigates through these uncertain times. Our children are always grateful and today we celebrate our health, happiness and youth.

Learn. Grow. Play. The AHI Way.

COVID-19 – Simple Exercise Routine That You Can Do At Home

Following our theme of healthy living, here is our P.E. teacher showing our students a simple exercise routine that can be done at home in absence of our obstacle courses at school. Being healthy isn’t a goal – it’s a way of living. We hope our children will continue to develop their coordination and motor skills wherever they are.

COVID-19 – How To Wash Your Hands Properly

A few days ago, UNICEF shared a viral clip of the “hand washing dance” choreographed by Quang Dang. The catchy tune is none other than “Ghen Co Vy” by Khac Hung, Min and Erik in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Vietnam. The literal translation is Jealous Ms. Vy but the play on words is Jealous COVID.

As the song takes the internet by storm, it has also brought our attention back to the basics of hand-washing – a very straightforward routine but its steps are often over looked.

Below is a clip of one our teachers showing the AHI community on how to wash their hands properly. Share it with your friends and family and let’s do our part in minimising the spread of the infection.

Coronavirus Outbreak Notice – What You Can Do

Amidst the outbreak, let’s do our part to minimise the risk of infection among the community. Here are a few protective measures that you and your family can do on a daily basis. If symptoms start to show, please wear a mask and visit the doctors immediately.

Lunar New Year 2020

Yesterday was the last day of school before our Tet holidays officially begun. To commence the festive afternoon, each class was responsible for setting up a game.

Against the backdrop of hand-made lanterns, we danced and sang to Tet songs. A round of applause to our teaching assistants who prepared diligently for their performances.

Last but not the least, we could not forget the highlight of the afternoon – The Lion Dance – which brought the whole school community together to witness a symbolic ritual.

On behalf of Anne Hill International School, we would like to wish all parents, students and teachers a Happy Lunar New Year!
