Mr. John is a teacher from Singapore with over 10 years of experience teaching students ranging from preschoolers to adults. His forte is in life skills such as public speaking, storytelling, acting, and theatre. Some of his training includes Trinity Speech & Drama, Julia Gabriel's Speech & Drama, Viewpoints, Playback Theatre, and oral storytelling. His personal philosophy is to “walk the talk”; as such, he has performed both as a storyteller and actor on stage. With a focus on children's needs, he listens attentively to his participants' needs and adjusts his lessons accordingly.
Ms. Dieu Tran, affectionately known as Wendy, is AHI’s Mandarin teacher for our Kindergarten level students. She holds a degree from the University of Social Sciences & Humanities in the Faculty of English Linguistics & Literature with a specialisation in Linguistic Teaching. Wendy also possesses a HSK certificate, demonstrating her proficiency in Mandarin. Her academic background and passion for language education make her an invaluable addition to our teaching team.
Ms. Hương teaches Preschool and Year 1 Basic Vietnamese. She holds a Degree in Preschool Education and has worked as a Vietnamese teacher for younger children (age 3-6) for more than 4 years. She also supports the Montessori and other preschool classes and is a familiar teacher to all the children in the preschool campus. She fosters Vietnamese language acquisition and cultural appreciation among our students, in enjoyable ways.

Ms. Rhianne, our EAL as well as Art Teacher, is from Scotland and has experience teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) to students across different levels. She holds a TEFL (Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language) qualification, a Bachelor's Degree in Textile Design (Honours), and a Master's degree in Fashion and Textiles. Ms. Aundrea has extensive experience working with students of various age groups, from early childhood to high school, with expertise in school counseling, International Baccalaureate (IB) programs—PYP and MYP—and Special Educational Needs (SEN). Before joining the AHI community, Ms. Aundrea spent four years working in Ho Chi Minh City, where she held several key positions. She served as the Head of Student Support Services and Head of Learning Support, Student Welfare, and Well-being at the American International School Vietnam. In her role as Head of Learning Support, Student Welfare, and Well-being, she was also appointed as the Head of School Safety, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students while promoting inclusive practices. Ms. Augusta, from South Africa, has been with AHI for the past 5 years, bringing her 16 years of teaching experience to the school. She holds qualifications in Speech & Drama from Julia Gabriel’s Speech & Drama Programme and play-based learning, both which greatly enhance young children's development. She is also a certified Jolly Phonics teacher. Ms. Augusta is currently upgrading herself with Cambridge learning and curriculum to further impact her students with new knowledge acquired.
Ms. Jeng comes from the Philippines and holds a Degree in Science and TESOL certification. She has been teaching in Vietnam since 2009. With 21 years of experience as an educator, she has worked with diverse groups of children and parents from different countries. Ms. Jeng's extensive background in kindergarten, primary schools, and private enrichment centers has equipped her with valuable insights in engaging young learners, ensuring quality care and education for her students.
Ms. Erin is originally from South Africa. With 6 years of teaching experience in Vietnam, she has honed her skills in nurturing young minds. Possessing various TEFL certificates for both young learners and adults, along with training in the Reggio Emilia approach and IB, Ms. Erin brings a wealth of pedagogical expertise to her classroom. Before joining AHI, she taught in international kindergartens and language centres in Vietnam. Teaching kindergarten students is Ms. Erin's absolute passion, and she eagerly anticipates the opportunity to foster a dynamic environment where learning, exploration, and fun are integral parts of each day.
Ms. Hazel is a licensed teacher from the Philippines. She has been with AHI since 2022-2023. She holds a Bachelor of Education and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in education. She is known for her strong creativity in teaching and aims to provide a solid academic foundation and fundamental skills for her students. With her expertise, Ms. Hazel continues to enrich the development of the children under her care.
Ms. Laura, our teacher from Ireland, brings a rich blend of international teaching experience, having spent two years teaching in Vietnam, preceded by four years in Spain and Ireland. With a degree in European Studies and a TESOL qualification, Ms. Laura’s educational philosophy centers on recognising the unique learning styles of each student, advocating for adaptable teaching methods. Passionate about holistic nurturing, she is committed to fostering the overall development of her students. Ms. Laura’s devotion make her an invaluable asset to our school community, ensuring engaging and personalised learning experiences for the young minds under her care.
Ms. Sherley is from the Philippines. She has been teaching at this school for nearly 5 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education and has Montessori teaching training. She is a licensed teacher dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that helps children improve through independent learning and self-directed activity. Sherley has also taught IEYC for many years and is knowledgeable about a variety of educational approaches. With her passion for fostering a love of learning and nurturing children, she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in education. Sherley finds her profession enjoyable and rewarding.
Mr. Lap, our Physical Education (PE) teacher, has been with AHI for over 4 years. Holding a degree in Physical Education from Hong Bang International University, he currently teaches Gym lessons to AHI Preschool students. Mr. Lap's infectious enthusiasm brings joy to the classroom and serves as a motivation for children to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
Mr. John is a teacher from Singapore with over 10 years of experience teaching students ranging from preschoolers to adults. His forte is in life skills such as public speaking, storytelling, acting, and theatre. Some of his training includes Trinity Speech & Drama, Julia Gabriel's Speech & Drama, Viewpoints, Playback Theatre, and oral storytelling. His personal philosophy is to “walk the talk”; as such, he has performed both as a storyteller and actor on stage. With a focus on children's needs, he listens attentively to his participants' needs and adjusts his lessons accordingly.
Ms. Dieu Tran, affectionately known as Wendy, is AHI’s Mandarin teacher for our Kindergarten level students. She holds a degree from the University of Social Sciences & Humanities in the Faculty of English Linguistics & Literature with a specialisation in Linguistic Teaching. Wendy also possesses a HSK certificate, demonstrating her proficiency in Mandarin. Her academic background and passion for language education make her an invaluable addition to our teaching team.
Ms. Hương teaches Preschool and Year 1 Basic Vietnamese. She holds a Degree in Preschool Education and has worked as a Vietnamese teacher for younger children (age 3-6) for more than 4 years. She also supports the Montessori and other preschool classes and is a familiar teacher to all the children in the preschool campus. She fosters Vietnamese language acquisition and cultural appreciation among our students, in enjoyable ways.
Ms. Katelyn graduated and lived in the United States (USA) for more than 18 years and has more than 11 years of teaching experience in an elementary school in USA. She looks forward to building connections with students to strengthen engagement and help them achieve their personal best.
Ms. Amy is a teacher from Ireland with four years of experience teaching primary school children in Ireland. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (English & History) and a Professional Master's of Education specialising in Primary Education. In addition, she has received training for special needs assistance and has worked as a substitute Special Needs Assistant in multiple primary schools prior to her teaching profession. This is her first year in Vietnam, and she looks forward to her new teaching chapter with AHI.
Ms. Jennifer is a dedicated Irish Primary School Teacher with a Bachelor of Education. She has almost 3 years of teaching experience in Ireland. She places great emphasis on the holistic development of students. Ms. Jennifer looks forward to developing AHI students’ social, emotional, and personal growth, and to ensure that the students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Ms. Hannah is an experienced primary school teacher with a decade of diverse teaching roles in United Kingdom (UK). Passionate about literacy, especially writing, and experienced in moderating and coordinating English curriculum. She looks forward to having a new challenge in AHI, an international setting, that aligns with her dedication to nurturing lifelong learners.
Mr. Adam is a teacher from Ireland who is joining the AHI family in AY 2024-2025. He holds a Bachelor of Education specialising in Primary Education and has over four years of experience teaching primary school children. He is compassionate and dedicated to creating a stimulating and encouraging atmosphere for all students, helping each reach their full potential. With his background in primary teaching, he understands how to build knowledge, skills, and confidence in young students to prepare them for further learning and development. Ms. Aoife is from Ireland and is a primary school teacher with four years of full-time experience in Irish primary schools. She holds a Bachelor of Education specialising in Primary Teaching and Psychology. Her teaching philosophy emphasises fostering a love for learning. She is dedicated to providing students with the tools they need to excel academically and personally and has experience with a range of teaching methodologies. Ms. Aoife will be joining the AHI family in AY 2024-2025, and together with the team, she is committed to creating an inclusive and stimulating educational atmosphere for her students.
Mr. David, is a United Kingdom (UK) native who has more than 3 years’ experience in teaching students in elementary schools in UK. He has also attained a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) awarded by the UK Teacher Training Body. Mr. David is also music-trained and he looks forward to bringing quality music teaching to AHI students.
Mr. Matt is an educator from the United Kingdom (UK) with 9 years of teaching experience including Vietnam. He has completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Education and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Education. Mr. Matt’s passion for working with children from different nationalities and his expertise enhance the AHI community, fostering engaging learning experiences for the students under his care.
Ms. Danielle is from the United Kingdom (UK) and has been with AHI for the past 3 years. Holding a PGCE and experience teaching in international schools in ASEAN countries, she effectively guides our diverse learners to develop into well-rounded learners. Ms. Danielle is also art-trained, and she looks forward to bringing quality art teaching to AHI students.
Mr. Matthew is from the UK and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) awarded by UK Teacher Training Body. With 8 years of teaching experience in both Vietnam and UK, specialising in teaching Upper Primary Levels. He looks forward to fostering positive learning environment for AHI students.
Mr. Ben is from England and will be joining the AHI community as a primary school teacher. He holds a Bachelor of Music, a Master of Science in Performance Science, and a PGCE in Education specialising in Primary Education. Mr. Ben has over nine years of teaching experience in the UK as a classroom teacher and as an English and Music lead. His experience ranges from planning age-appropriate lessons to ensuring progress for all children regardless of their starting points, planning, delivering, and implementing curriculum initiatives, and working with a range of colleagues and external organisations to prepare for national assessments, mentor trainee teachers, and contribute to the wider improvement and development of his schools.
Ms. Molly is from the UK and joins the AHI family as a primary school teacher for AY 2024-2025. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a PGCE in Primary Education. She has over three years of teaching experience as a primary school teacher in the UK. A dedicated and professional teacher who understands the positive impact a safe and imaginative learning environment can have on a child, Ms. Molly is excited to help students at AHI reach their own personal success and develop skills such as self-regulation, empathy, and responsible decision-making.
Ms. Therese is from the UK and joined the AHI family as a primary teacher in AY 2023-2024. Prior to her educational journey at AHI, she had over four years of teaching experience in the UK and Spain. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a PGCE in Primary Education, specialising in SEN. She has also received additional training in various fields, including IPC, White Rose Maths, and Phonics. Ms. Therese believes in effective communication and maintaining a positive attitude every day. She strives to have fun with the children she teaches and to make lasting memories with every class.
Ms. CJ is an experienced upper elementary teacher from South Africa. She has been in Vietnam since 2014. Armed with a Bachelor of Education degree and a passion for fostering academic growth, she brings over 15 years, and 3 different countries, of expertise to her classroom. With a multicultural perspective and a love for teaching, Ms. CJ creates an inclusive and dynamic environment, ensuring that every child reaches their full potential under her guidance.
Ms. Samantha is from South Africa and has been a valuable member of the AHI family for almost 5 years. With a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and experience in teaching both preschool and primary school, she lays a strong foundation for children in the Lower Primary Levels.
Mr. Nick, teaching Information and Communication Technology (ICT), joined AHI in the 2021-2022 academic year. Originating from the UK, he brings 6 years of experience as a primary school teacher in Vietnam. Mr. Nick has a PGCE and expertise in English, Mathematics, and Science at international schools and has a keen interest in teaching and learning using technology. With our newly set-up computer lab and under Mr. Nick's guidance, the students will learn to be future-ready, digital learners.
Ms. Rhianne, our EAL as well as Art Teacher, is from Scotland and has experience teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) to students across different levels. She holds a TEFL (Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language) qualification, a Bachelor's Degree in Textile Design (Honours), and a Master's degree in Fashion and Textiles. Before joining AHI, she also gained two years of teaching experience in Spain. Now in her third year at AHI, with a strong background in the arts, she contributes to the creative growth of our students.
Ms. Angie, our EAL teacher, graduated from Australia with a Bachelor of Education and is a second-year teacher at AHI. She is an approved teacher licensed by the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT). With experience teaching in Australian schools, Ms. Angie is passionate about educating students with diverse learning styles in a multicultural environment.
Ms. Ren, our Mandarin Teacher, originally from Beijing, China, has over 28 years of experience educating children from nursery to Grade 7. She specialises in teaching Mandarin, Chinese art, and culture in international schools in Singapore. Ms. Ren's passion for children and her dedication to sharing her culture and arts enrich the learning experience of the students.
Ms. Chau is from Vietnam and is AHI Primary School’s Vietnamese Language teacher. She graduated from HCMC Open University, Faculty of Foreign Languages, majoring in the methodology of teaching English. Prior to her journey at AHI, she was a Vietnamese teacher for foreigners at a language center for over 4 years and English teacher for 2 years. Being fluent in both English and Vietnamese, she looks forward to sharing the beauty and culture of the Vietnamese language with her students at AHI.
Ms. Thao, our Lead Learning and Teaching Assistant, has been with AHI since its inception in 2016. In her role, she works closely with teachers, leading the assistants in providing quality care to our students.
Ms. Nghiem, known as Cherry, is our dedicated Operations Manager at AHI since AY 2023-2024. She is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, including health, safety, hygiene, and facilities management. With a strong background in engineering and over 7 years of experience in facilities management and customer service across various international schools in the city, Ms. Cherry brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our Operations & Maintenance teams. Her commitment ensures that the safety and well-being of our students are always a top priority.
