Summary of Position
The position oversees managing the network and server infrastructure of the school. The primary duties are the security of the company’s computer systems and electronic data, development and implementation of customised systems and overseeing all computer-related activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage information technology and computer systems for all campuses
- Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
- New staff – IT orientation (including basic trainings and passwords to be issued to the staff)
- New student / parent – IT support and guide (with passwords)
- Periodic maintenance and password updates for portals & websites
- Administration of Seesaw and Class Dojo accounts
- Acts as champion for full STAR PORTAL implementation & training with support of line manager
- Works closely with Director of School to identify & deliver IT needs within academic team
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
- Preserve assets, manages hardware, information security and control structures
- Supervising daily operations of network and server infrastructure, attend hotline
- Assessing and purchasing new and replacement hardware
- Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
- Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software
- Works closely with IT partner to ensure we have a healthy & efficient partnership
- Performs other duties that may be directed or requested by the Manager
- Is fully conversant with al health and safety, fire, and emergency procedures
- Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language
- Is polite and professional in any situation where the image or reputation of the school is represented
- Attends meetings and training as required by direct manager
- Ensures that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of local law
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience working in IT operations
- Proven working experience in IT department or relevant experience
Skills, Capabilities & Traits
- Fluent in Vietnamese and in English (written and spoken)
- Customer-oriented personality & excellent communicator
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
